Office of the Secretariat

His Excellency, the President of the University, issued decision number /3/186106on 27/03/1445 H, approving the establishment of the General Secretariat Office of the Research Ethics Committee. This decision is part of the ongoing effort to strengthen the research system and ensure adherence to established ethical standards, contributing to the enhancement of research integrity and the improvement of the quality of scientific research.

The organizational structure of the General Secretariat Office includes the following:

  1. Chair of the Permanent Committee for Research Ethics
    a. Secretary of the Permanent Committee for Research Ethics
  2. Vice-Chair of the Permanent Committee for Research Ethics

The office also includes the following units:

  • Secretariat Unit
  • Research Services Unit
  • Administrative Affairs Unit
  • Reports Unit
  • Financial Unit

The office's tasks are as follows:

  • Receiving and processing grievance requests according to the established procedures.
  • Preparing annual reports.
  • Establishing and supervising the University Monitoring Office to ensure continuous adherence to research ethics.
  • Creating a comprehensive archive that includes accepted, rejected, and pending requests, with full documentation of all related details.
  • Recording and tracking violations of research ethics, and taking appropriate measures to ensure adherence to ethical standards.

Through these tasks, the office aims to improve overall performance and ensure compliance with the highest ethical standards in scientific research.
